Holding Ball & Racket

Top Lessons for a top value

My tennis journey began in Detroit, Michigan at the age of eight when my father took me to public courts with a few tennis balls. I instantly loved the sport. Later, to pursue my passion, my parents moved to south Florida where I trained at some of the best and most well-known tennis academies. Unfortunately, I could not pursue my tennis professionally because of the financial expense. Thus, I was recruited and received a full-athletic scholarship to NC State. My collegiate journey didn't stop there. I made my way to Waco, TX to play for Baylor University, a team that was top 10 in the nation. Finally, I concluded my collegiate career at UNC-Chapel Hill with a team that held the #2 spot in the nation.

Post college, I taught the sport at several facilities and country clubs around the triangle. I was also given the title of Head Tennis Professional at the Grandover Resort. Now, I want to give back to the Durham community and tennis. Bull City Tennis is designed to create a boom of opportunities for kids and adults in the inner city to experience one of the most expensive sports.
